Safety officer vacancy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

A construction company in Dubai is in need of a full time experienced safety officer.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Working experience as a safety officer in the same field or related for a period of 2 to 5 years.

In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures.

Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices and also have experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.

Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.

Proficient in MS Office and Working knowledge of safety management information systems.

Outstanding organizational skills and also have excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Advising and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.).

Conducting risk assessment and enforce preventative measures and also review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.

Initiating and organizing OHS training of employees and executives and also inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).

Overseeing installations, maintenance, disposal of substances and also be able to stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
